Connecting a device is where product service begins.

Organize ongoing operations around project ownership, device status, gateway children, logs, remote configuration, and OTA.

THE CUSTOMER PROBLEM

Start with the connectivity management problem.

Delivery means more than adding a device to a list. Teams need records showing its project, why it went offline, whether a control received a reply, and how far a firmware task progressed. Those records give troubleshooting a basis.

MECHANISM / REASON / TRADE-OFF

See how the capability works through the interface.

01

Manage device identity separately from project ownership

Product and device identifiers identify equipment; projects, regions, and groups organize business access. Gateway topology records parent and child device relationships.

Choice and trade-off
Verify ownership transfers and permission changes against the real workflow. Device credentials are not made safe for public sharing.
02

Use status, logs, and remote configuration to investigate

Device details bring properties, events, online history, and command records together. Remote configuration depends on the actual device and protocol support.

Choice and trade-off
Online status does not mean every property was just updated; a submitted configuration does not prove that the terminal applied it.
03

Track OTA with task and device results

Upgrade modules, firmware packages, tasks, and per-device execution records have distinct roles. Acceptance checks both task progress and each device response.

Choice and trade-off
Do not promise unverified automatic rollback or resume support. Upgrades depend on firmware and protocol cooperation.
Device list and project management entryA historical documentation-site interface; the capture date is unconfirmed and it does not represent current device status.

A CONCRETE EXAMPLE / MECHANISM EXAMPLE

Where to start when a device goes offline

An operations outline: identify the project and device, then inspect recent status and messages. No repair command is sent automatically.

  1. Confirm project, region, and device identity
  2. Compare the last report with online history and error logs
  3. For upgrades, check the task and the individual device result

READY TO INTEGRATE

Confirm these points before connecting.
