IoT / Foundation

Know which SIM a device uses and trace its connectivity status.

Connect SIM cards, devices, channels, plans, and usage records to manage connectivity and troubleshoot cellular devices.

THE CUSTOMER PROBLEM

Start with the connectivity management problem.

A device can be offline because of the device, network, SIM status, or data synchronization. A SIM number in a note is not enough: operators need to find the bound device, upstream channel, latest usage, and task result to narrow down the cause.

INSIDE THE FOUNDATION

Find the SIM from the device, then check connectivity evidence

IoT SIM relationship example. No carrier operations, payments, or purchases are performed here.

MECHANISM / REASON / TRADE-OFF

See how the capability works through the interface.

01

Cards, channels, and devices have separate roles

A channel connects to an upstream service, a SIM stores connectivity details and status, and a device links to the SIM through a binding. Sync and operation results appear in their task records.

What this saves customers
Review device failures alongside upstream connectivity without collapsing them into one status.
Choice and trade-off
Channels require valid credentials and supported interfaces. The platform is not a carrier network.
02

Plans, usage, and records support routine checks

Rate groups, plan balances, usage details, and monthly reports explain usage from different angles. Task progress and errors reveal stale data.

What this saves customers
An unusual total and a failed sync need different investigations. The last synchronized value is not necessarily current usage.
Choice and trade-off
This module does not provide in-platform payment, renewal, or plan ordering. A historical ordering screen is not a purchase flow.
03

Diagnostics guide investigation; they do not replace field evidence

Combine SIM status, usage, and task records, then follow the device link to check its latest reports and network conditions.

What this saves customers
Operators can follow evidence instead of automatically suspending or reactivating service when a device is offline.
Choice and trade-off
This website example does not suspend, reactivate, bind, or perform any carrier operation.
IoT SIM task progressHistorical documentation screen with an empty state. It explains task fields and entry points; it does not prove a task ran or connectivity is healthy.

A CONCRETE EXAMPLE / MECHANISM EXAMPLE

When a device is offline, first check whether SIM data is fresh

Connectivity troubleshooting example: review the binding and channel, then check update time and task results. Do not present an old status as the current network state.

  1. Find the SIM bound to the device and its upstream channel
  2. Check the latest sync, SIM status, and usage records
  3. Use task errors and device logs to plan the next investigation

This IoT SIM topic is supported by documentation screens and mechanism explanations. There is no independently verified customer case for it, so another industry case is not presented as proof.

Cases show only the scope visible in their evidence; they do not prove that every historical project used all AI capabilities.
